Accessibility Statement

Prepared 18 October 2026 · Reviewed every 6 months

1. Our commitment

RA10 should work for every student, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, voice control, or who have dyslexia, low vision, motion sensitivity or other access needs. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

2. Accessibility settings

Open Accessibility settings from the footer of any RA10 page, the account menu, or the button at the top of this page. Settings are saved on your device and also apply inside the revision apps.

  • Text size — default, large (112.5%) or extra large (125%).
  • High contrast — darker text and stronger borders in light and dark mode.
  • Reduce motion — turns off animations and transitions. RA10 also respects your device's reduced-motion setting automatically.
  • Readable font — switches to Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for low-vision readers and often preferred by people with dyslexia.
  • Extra spacing — more space between lines, letters and words.
  • Underline links — makes every link easy to spot without relying on colour.
  • Strong focus outline — a high-visibility yellow and black outline that shows where keyboard focus is.

RA10 also has a dark mode, and you can zoom to 400% in your browser without content being lost.

3. Built-in features

  • A "Skip to main content" link as the first item on every page.
  • Visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form fields.
  • Labelled navigation landmarks and labelled form fields.
  • Dialogs (sign in, onboarding, terms, settings) that trap focus, close with Escape and return focus to where you were.
  • Page changes are announced to screen readers.
  • Layouts that adapt to mobile, tablet and desktop, in portrait and landscape.

4. How accessible RA10 is

RA10 is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Most of the main site works well with assistive technology, but some parts don't yet fully meet the standard. These are listed below.

5. Known issues

  • Some diagrams, mind maps and model images in the revision apps don't yet have full text alternatives.
  • Some interactive activities (such as drag-to-reorder on the mobile dock, matching activities and the wireframe builder) are hard to use with a keyboard or screen reader. We're adding keyboard alternatives.
  • Printable booklets and predicted papers may not be fully tagged for screen readers when saved as PDF.
  • A few muted text colours in older revision apps may fall below the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. The High contrast setting fixes this.
  • Embedded third-party tools (for example diagrams.net) are outside our control and may have their own accessibility issues.

If you need content from any of these in a different format, please contact us and we'll help.

6. Feedback & contact

If you find a problem or need information in another format (such as large print, plain text or audio), email contact@ra10studios.co.uk or use the Help button on any page and choose an accessibility topic. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

7. Enforcement

The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you're not happy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

8. How we test

This statement is based on a self-assessment by the RA10 team using keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom and automated checks. We're working towards regular testing with screen readers (such as VoiceOver and NVDA) and with disabled students. This statement was prepared on 18 October 2026 and will be reviewed at least every 6 months or after major changes.
