Three brand-new full predicted papers and matching mark schemes for BTEC IT Unit 1 are now live — completely free. Each paper follows the latest exam trends with different scenarios across all four questions, including the SAM-style A4 sheet layout, network diagrams, and a flowchart login task in Paper 2. Built from recent sitting patterns rather than a repeat of any single past paper.
The Exams page is now a full interactive calendar. Exam days show a red dot; clicking a date opens a proper popup overlay with the exam details, links to the exam spec and the relevant RA10 course, plus a list view for quick scanning. The Today button and calendar icon have been polished alongside it.
BTEC IT Unit 1 and Unit 2 predicted papers now render as SAM-style A4 sheets with a white paper background, a sticky toolbar for zoom, page navigation, and a one-click Print / Save PDF action, plus dotted answer lines and dedicated diagram pages. Mark schemes open side by side for quick self-marking.
The Unit 1 detailed sub-question map has been updated with a June 2026 row across all four questions, showing the exact topic and spec-code mapping for every part. The upcoming-paper trend view and the "8 uploaded papers" footnote have been refreshed to match.
BTEC IT Unit 3 (Website Development) has launched with a full two-part app. Learn the theory for Aims A, B and C with a comprehensive study guide, knowledge-check MCQs, flashcards and quizzes. Then build real skills with the wireframe designer (powered by draw.io), annotated sitemap builder, and a full HTML/CSS/JS code editor with live preview and cloud autosave. For the assignment, get step-by-step Distinction support across all three tasks, sample Pearson-style briefs, and the AI Assigner for hints and marking.
BTEC IT Unit 2 now holds over 700 exam-style questions across all four learning aims. The bank adds 172 multiple-choice questions with shuffled answer positions, plus 22 diagram questions — including new "figure" questions that show a diagram to the candidate as part of the question. Mark schemes and explanations are included throughout.
The homepage "Upcoming exams" section has been redesigned with bolder, more visual countdown cards. Each card now shows a large gradient countdown pill with the days remaining, a stronger subject title, a pinned-exam tag, and a cleaner date row — making it easier to see at a glance what is coming up.
The Dashboard, Questions, Revise, Predicted Papers, and Progress tabs on every unit app are now centred, carry custom SVG icons, and show a short hover tooltip explaining what each action does. This makes it clearer what each button leads to, especially for new learners.
The main site navbar and every unit app navbar now share one consistent structure and link order — Home, Revision, Tools, Community, Tasks, Exams, Leaderboard — with matching SVG icons on each link. The unit top bar merges the site links and unit tabs into a single connected glass bar, so moving between pages feels seamless.
The Community library now makes every action explicit. Students can like an app, jump directly to its comments, or pin it to a personal saved section. Pinned apps retain the creator name, and opening an app on mobile now moves directly to the active study workspace.
The app builder has been rebuilt as a guided creation flow. It now includes visual subject and exam-board selection for AQA, Pearson BTEC, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas, Cambridge, IB, and CCEA; source uploads; specification notes; research preferences; quality presets; and custom generation targets for revision guides, question banks, flashcards, and quizzes.
The mobile header and bottom navigation have received a visual refresh with lighter glass surfaces, tighter spacing, clearer active states, and improved tap feedback. The result is a simpler app-like shell that stays out of the way while learners revise.
The News page now uses a more focused bulletin layout with elevated release cards, improved category controls, clearer tags, mobile-first spacing, and subtle reading animations. Current changes are grouped as practical release notes so learners can quickly see what changed and why it matters.
The homepage now uses inclusive wording for all learners, brings back the annual price comparison snapshot, and adds a stronger feature section. AI Examiner is now visually highlighted with a dedicated gradient feature card so it stands out at first glance.
Navigation styling has been adjusted so the top navbar remains visible instead of disappearing during scroll. This improves consistency across homepage and app shell views, especially when refresh styling is enabled.
The newsroom feed now includes category and status filters, live search, result counts, and article sharing links. Shared links can open directly to a specific article, improving updates for students, teachers, and school admins.
Profile pictures now publish consistently across account views and leaderboard rows. Owner tools can remove profile images, reset usernames, and send clear moderation reasons to users. Old profile images are automatically removed from storage to avoid stale asset build-up.
Owners can publish timed public announcements with emoji, message, and expiry windows. The bar now supports dismiss behavior per user session state, cleaner styling, and hosted-safe origin handling so the same feature works in local and production deployments.
Predicted papers are now integrated into the unit flow with clearer launch actions, revision mission prompts, and topic-priority guidance. The section is now designed to feel like a revision newsroom article with structured cards and data context.
The AI Examiner stack now uses a provider fallback chain and only spends credits on successful marks. The UI has been refined into a clearer exam-feedback flow with stronger signals on score quality and next revision steps.
Payments are fully live on Stripe with webhook-backed subscription state. Gift credits and weekly leaderboard rewards now connect cleanly to account activity, enabling schools and individuals to keep study momentum without manual admin friction.
The next cycle focuses on broader qualification coverage, stronger classroom onboarding, and richer analysis views for both students and teachers. Business A-Level remains on the near-term roadmap with more subject apps following behind it.
